The Sacraments and Mental Prayer

The sacraments are the principal means by which Christ bestows upon us the graces of his passion, death, and resurrection. The sacrament of Holy Eucharist is the source and summit of our Christian life. Confirmation strengthens, penance and anointing heal. Matrimony and Holy Orders give shape to the Church and provide for the communication of grace. In prayer and sacrament, we attend to God who first attends to us.
