The Masturbation Contest in East Hampton
In June 1654, folk Davis, his youngest son, John Davis, Daniel Fairfield and John Han, Jr. were hauled before town leaders in East Hampton and charged with staging a masturbation contest. Folk Davis as the older and wisest received the harshest penalty. The contests ended up causing a lot of outrage in East Hampton.
