The Problem With Self-Education in Schools

Middle school students will be taught that enslaved people benefited from slavery. They want to include how slaves develop skills in which some instances could be applied to the state. Florida Department of Education says any attempt to reduce slaves to just victims of oppression fails to recognize their strength and courage during a difficult time.
