I tried everything the first four or five years. I explored literally every conceivable way to trade for my own account, day trading, scalping, spreading,. seasonal cycles, point and figures, you name it, fundamentals. And then in 1979, another trader introduced me to a book by Edwards and McGee, Technical Analysis and Stock Transact. That was the earlier manuscript by Richard W. Schabacher that laid out the case for classical charting. It just made sense to me that I would be a classical chartist. And I have been since 1980.
