The Downfall of Abimelech
The bramble said to the trees, if in good faith you are anointing me king over you, then come and take refuge in my shade. But if not, let fire come out of the bramble and devour the cedars of lebanon. The men of shechem dealt treacherous with abimelech that the violence done to the 70 sons of jrubabel might come and their blood be laid on him. Abimelech ruled over israel three years before he was killed by his brother.
