The 300 thousand strong puppet army that had been built over 20 years just collapsed. Some of them joined the faldebana heothers just said, we don't like the taleban, but weare not going to fight against them. Why should we? And don't underestimate the impact of the resistance of many people in afganistan who are not political. They are the only people who resistit.
