The Importance of Copying
In his new journal, the Steel Like NARS Journal, there's a lot of copying exercises. "There's this process of integration that's occurring under the surface as we go full immersion in this," he says. A poet named Kenny Goldsmith has students listen to like a radio broadcast and transcribe it. And what's really interesting is how people put their own imprint on even something that's transcribed.
