The US Fish and Wildlife Service and the Cooperating Agencies Could Change This
All Mexican wolves are known to originate from south of I-40 in the experimental population area. But technically, they are considered a fully endangered wolf north of that line on the map. There are two ways the agency could change this. One is they could extend the Mexican wolf 10J area, reintroduction area, further north. They could go to the state line of Arizona, New Mexico with Utah and Colorado. That is what would allow Mexican wolves to be actively reintroduced in more places.
