There are considerable differences in the amount of radiation that's hitting the earth. And some of them are due to factors that have nothing to do with the sun. Some of them are actually due to the sun's internal processes and and an structure or field lines. So there's almost like a fillto athat you can perhaps use to distinguish between them.
