The Origins of the English Channel Crossing

There's been a lot of work done on these sort of cross-channel routes. People tend to try and cross by the shortest route, which brings up Pervancy Harbour. If those ships arrived there, it's again within quite a marshy area. After the Blended they then go on to Hastings, that was almost certainly by ship as well.
