The Origins of the English Channel Crossing

There's been a lot of work done on these sort of cross-channel routes. People tend to try and cross by the shortest route, which brings up Pervancy Harbour. If those ships arrived there, it's again within quite a marshy area. After the Blended they then go on to Hastings, that was almost certainly by ship as well. So again we're seeing these ships being used in several instances within this initial landing. And the crossing itself, do we think it went pretty smoothly? It seems to have, out of probably roughly a thousand ships,. We only have two sources in two very different ways, say that only two ships were lost. One of them says that
