The Interaction of Genes and the Environment
The interface of genes and the environment, it's the way that particular alleles in your genome interact with the diet choices you make or the lifestyle choices you make. You might inherit an allele and you might have a very strong family history for cancer or for alcoholism. It doesn't mean you're going to be an alcoholic or you are going to get cancer because there isn't a gene for this. But what it means is if you were to line up a hundred people and expose them to the same sets of environmental circumstances, some of them could develop cancer more likely than others.
