Are We Trying to Eliminate Hate Speech?
A, i agree you that it really is such, a, its such a complex thing. And we just don't seem willing to kind of come to terms with that history. I do think that a younger generations, we know, are much more open to restrictions on expression in order to protect people who come from a marginalized communities. So i think it's possible in our lifetime, or in our children's lifetime, we might see a shift in how we deal with us. But at least right now, i'll say on the last point: I'm hopeful for the future"
