There are many ways of using maps, but sometimes you want to pick something for fun. I think that it can be useful if there is an actual geographic component to the shape of the data that we are showing. We use a bump chart which can allow us to detect changes in rank. It's a type of line chart, but it specialises in how rank changes over time. Stackbars, a little chart, histogram, thank you. Bump chart, some standard, some meat and potatoes, as well.
