The focus on complex, adaptive systems has made everybody come in and say, well, that's the way my system works too. But there is a lot of mutual respect t goes down down there. There are trends it in environmental economics and eqological economics, examples of partnerships that are successful and those that aren't. I'm completing a paper now with some economists about the bridges between natural sciences and e and economics - i think it can work.
