Getting a Product Into a Service?
We usually do two kinds of projects. One is product driven and the other is engineering driven. Most of these service splits or new service being created usually are engineering driven. We have not done any big bang migration. Let's migrate everything from Python to go. But we only do it when a use case arises. And then once you write the code, you will have multiple rounds of code reviews. QA will test it out and then there will be another code review after the QA testing has been done. Then the thing gets merged to a branch which gets deployed to staging and pre-prod. And then finally it gets merged to master which actually goes into production. Like something like
