Psychiatric Harassment

Recent trends have tended strongly against recover ability for psychiatric harm involving clinical negligence and or hospital settings. Court of appeal most recently dealt with secondary victim hood in ronane and liverpool women's hospital, n h s foundation trust. That case concerned a claim for psychiatric harm by a husband of a woman who was readmitted to hospital following a negligently performed historectime. Lord justice tomlinson gave the leading judgment saying there had been only one reported case in which a claimant succeeded at trial as a result of observing consequences of clinical negligence.
