Is the Downtown a Cable Car Loop?

Historians have been lecturing chicagoans on the fact that, on what they thought was a fact, that the elevated loop had nothing to do with the naming of the downtown. So as a reporter, any question that you don't have an answer to would really gnawse at you. And so i realized whythe loop get applied to the downtown. It was because the elevated loop was so significant to chicago in 18 97 and afterwards, that people b began calling the downtown the loopBecause of its importance to them and its physical presence.
