The Bank of England and the Industrial Revolution
Bank of England Museum currently has an exhibition exploring its connections with slavery. Bank was given to plantations in Grenada and their enslaved workforces as security on a loan that it gave. The bank retained those plantations into the 1790s when they were sold.
