The Distinction Between Priest and Laity in Christian Service

A lot of this priest stuff in Christianity comes from a reading back to Leviticus and to theocracy. There were no priests and laity distinction. Everybody was in the presence of God. So I don't know why we have to sort of bring the baggage along.
