England beat Italy 1-0 in their Euro 2016 qualifier at the Stadio Olimpico. It was England's first win over Italy since 1961, but they haven't beaten them competitively for a long time. The Three Lions were unlucky not to be awarded a penalty after Alessandro Del Piero fouled Daniele De Rossi on the edge of the box. They also had two players sent off during the game - with Danny Welbeck and Raheem Sterling among those who received yellow cards. Roy Hodgson has been accused of being too lenient when it comes to sending out his best side. But he says that is just one example of how English players can become passive
