JP Morgan's Earnings Report Shows It's Not Struggling as Much as Its Peers

JP Morgan had revenues of 12 and a half billion, up 4% year in year. IB revenue was up 11%. IB fees were down 6%. Is this to be expected? We're kind of aware of the climate at the moment. Was there anything in those numbers that surprised you, Stephen? I guess it's surprised to the upside. These are really not particularly bad numbers considering if you read the averaged article about deal making, deal volumes, IPOs, investment bank fees,. we're talking down 20, 30, 40% across the board in in H one.
