I was making a couple thousand bucks a month off my personal finance blogs at the time just selling kind of cheesy, sponsored posts for casino sites and stuff like that. And so I'm like, wow, if I've got this one site that was bringing in some income, like imagine the damage I could do with an actual business. So when I left my job, my day job at Boeing to go full time on the ride share guy, I wasn't really thinking it was all that big of a leap because I had money saved up.
