Experiences, on average, tend to get us more happiness with our money than buying more of the same stuff. One opposite of buying stuff for yourself is very simply getting rid of the stuff part and spending money on experiences instead of on stuff. Experiences really broadly defined. I mean, a trip to space would be fant tic as an experience. But also going out to lunch with a friend, a spending time on your hobbies, for example, which are more experiential. Those kinds of purchases where instead of just te thing you're putting on a shelf, it's a thing tat you're going to enteract with that yu're going to have an experience with.
