The Bible Does Not Whitewash These Characters, and There's Things That We Can Learn, Good and Bad
Joseph is one of only two characters in the Bible that according to my understanding, were never rebuked. Samuel was a very godly leader, and God used him in powerful way, and Joseph was never rebukes. And so the Bible does not whitewash these characters at all. It presents them with all of their warts,. There's things that we can learn, good and bad from them.
