You can't boost everything by putting a gear set on. You're not dumping points in to make a super character. It's just is not going to happen. The weird thing with the gear that i have found is, in a multi person household, when you're playing locally with other people, they don't get to choose their own gear. And then anybody playing locally on your switch can choose to turn the gear on or off. Or if you happen to have a profile on that switch, you can bring in your profiles gear set. But i think i assumed once you unlocked the gear, you would just mixin, match at the time of play, what gad you want to use
