The German Government Orders Apartments to Be Enclosed
The german government ordered this. This was known as e the furniture operation. And they take all the furnishings, everything, out of people's apartments. They take them to warehouses where they are sorted, packed and then shipped abroad. For some it the major turn point in public opinion is not until 19 forty three. Many young men will then at this point choose to join the resistance. Or go into hiding.
