Nearly half the property that has been in her family for about 40 years simply slid into the Atlantic. Two dozen hotels and condos are rendered unsafe. Storm erosion undermined the foundations of scores of waterfront homes. Much of the sand on the beaches will need to be restored likely costing into the millions.
