The TGA and the Fed's Effect on the Equity Markets
The Federal Reserve has drained the Treasury General account, or TGA. The idea is that when they raise rates, we see less money being created through private sector credit creation. We're going to step back and talk about quantitative easing and quantitative tightening because in a lot of ways it's almost the same thing.
