The Atomic Bomb
In 19 forty two, a full blown programm to build an atomic bomb was created. The name of this programme, as you may well know, was the manhattan project. It was a huge operation, with a hundred and 25 thousand people employed at its peak. Over half a million people were employed on it over five years. Ith's even been said that the entire united states was turned into one big factory to develop this bomb.
