The Importance of Joint Tenants and Tenants in Common
Most commonly it would be if there's two people, husband and wife or partners, they would be 50-50 either joint tenants and tenants in common. So you could be joint tenants 99% to me and 1% to you, for example. A lot of people did that about 10 years ago,. It was the idea being that if, or using my wife, for example, again, if it's 99% me and 1%, then therefore I'm paying less tax.
