premillennialism is the idea that history will end essentially with the return of Christ to the earth physically where he'll establish a thousand-year kingdom. This view rose in popularity in the mid-second century especially when the church was still heavily influenced by the Jewish faith. John Nelson Darby became the father of what's now known as dispensationalism and came up with this system of reading the Bible reading prophecy read the relationship between the old and new Testament between Israel and the church.
