How to Interpret Quality of Life Data From Clinical Trials
There's no single right way of doing it. There's a consortium called the SYSQL Consortium, which stands for Setting International Standards for Measuring Quality of Life. They're trying to standardize statistical approach to quality of life measurement in clinical trials. So hopefully we'll reduce some of the heterogeneity by having more common standards for how we do things. But there's always going to be a lack of understanding fundamentally of what these scales' scores mean.
