The Nest of the Wren

The nest of the wren is a wonderful structure. It begins building in pri and is not by any means particular in situation. Sometimes it builds in the holl of a wall or tree. And because it was formerly supposed to live only in holes or little bird caves, it receives the name of troglodites, or cave dweller. Some say that the wrens, during the cold weather, sleep in some snug, warm hole. They frequently occupy these extra nests as winter bedchambers,. four or five or even more, huddling together to keep one another warm.
