Coaches, Are You Getting to Know the Kids?

Coaches need to get to know kids beyond are they talented nough. One of the first questions we ask athletes is like, tell us your family. You see themes in what they share on social media, and you see what's important to them. And i think when we're talking about leading people,  they want to know that they're being heard. I'm always conscious of when if an athlete walks into my office, i i want to be able to give them my full attention.
