What Mental Abnormalities Can Teach Us About Religion?

In a new book, author argues that certain types of mental illness actually impair one's capacity for religion. If brain damaged people are less capable of religion, this strengthens the case for religion being a natural by product of our cognitive abilities. The term we almost always oft use is disorders, abnormalities, things that aren't the way the majority a population seems to me. But to call them either illnesses or damage, i'm i would not do that, certainly with regard to atism, fruits and apples.
