The Importance of Social Determinants of Health
The WHO and UNICEF are bringing in these concepts of social determinants of health explicitly. Once you start talking about it as something that you could manipulate or change, then that is an implicate like because we're talking about things outside of the domain of like formal care and the clinic. That impol- it necessarily implicates the political economy. The power of the working class is so different in these different countries from the ones that you might imagine they're like trying to export the capitalist version of public health too.
