Jim Boulden: Why would Airbus take an existing plane and stretch it rather than create something new? He says the expense of developing a brand new plane could approach $8-10 billion. The A220 has a bathroom window, which is "weird," but good for consumers, he says.Boulden: There's a market out there if you could get a bigger plane, but Airbus will have to take a risk on putting that money up.
