The Importance of Inflammation in Cardiovascular Disease

There's a group of people who are speculating that high LDL is not an issue as long as triglycerides are low. They seem to think that LDL itself is not an independent risk factor for heart disease. Paul Ricker at Harvard became famous for developing the assay for high sensitivity C reactor protein which is a measure of inflammation and he really was proposing that LDL is important but so is inflammation. The interesting thing about recuva statin and the rest of the statins is that they lower both in order to be successful.
