The Impact of Debt and Austerity on Women
Debt undermines the ability of governments to meet their commitments on genderaequality. It also undermines their ability to promote women's rights as well. The funds that are borrowed f are very rarely spent in ways that prioratize women's rights. And so despite the importance of these decisions around public m and its gendered impact, women's collective voices are often not included in a decision making process around public debt.
