Ted Bundy's Rust in the Mall Parking Lot
Bundy's ruse requires a lot of effort. He must have staked out the mall parking lot to know Carol's license plate. Some nights he parked, popped the hood, and pretend to be having car trouble buying himself hours to stock his prey. As different as their approaches are, the end goal is the same: Get an innocent woman alone where there's no chance of escape.
