Introduction
Isabella Tree and her husband Charlie Burrell embraced rewilding at the beginning of this century. Their intensively managed arable and livestock farm was losing money so they decided to take a step back. Over two decades their net estate has been transformed. A host of endangered plants, insects, birds and animals have settled on their land. Not all human intervention has been banned. Carefully controlled numbers of livestock are killed. The meat is sold.
