The Problem With Guessing
The problem is not what might be wrong but what might be substituted precisely in place of it. The people that know how to do this don't really want to talk about it as much today. Amos Hosteter's rules published like he did are absolutely timeless. Why am I going off on a tangent about a company that was bought out by Goldman Sachs in 1997 reading from an article in 1981? It gets harder and harder and harder for the average person to find examples of this type of thinking because guess what? They're all gone now.
