Where in Africa the Enslaved People Came From?
The majority of enslaved people would have come from the three areas of west africa that the dutch were most involved in. It is hard to know where exactly people came from, because just because ships leave from a particular area of the coa, captives could come from hundreds of miles inward. Some may have come may have come from much further afield. So we have a rough idea where people came from,. butw we don't know exactly - they might pick up ten people here, ten people there, or 50 people in some other place.
