Can a Republican Conference Lead by Speaker McCarthy Undo the Contempt Citation?
The subpoena itself would expire at the end of the Congress. Even if Democrats did retain the majority, they would have to reissue the House rules that makes it easier for the chair of the committee to issue a subpoena before even the committees is formally organized. So I'd actually love to hear Jonathan's thoughts on this as well. But I'm curious on your thoughts about whether a Republican conference led by Speaker McCarthy could undo it in any way or not.
