The Propaganda War in Ireland
There had been a previous bloody sunday in ireland during the war of independence in 19 20. Lord widgery, the lord chief justice, was charged with presiding over an inquiry into what had happened. And he was reminded that there was a propaganda war going on according to documents found in publicre offices. The british government so keen to insist that it had its irish problem under control and that this wasn't a war.
