The White Horse Prophecy

Joseph Smith was murdered by a mob in 1844 near Nauvoo. Dudley Levitt was at the viewing, and he watched as Smith's followers wept over his body. Some people call it an urban legend; others call it the White Horse Prophecy. The story goes that Smith told a follower that the LDS people would head west and settle in the Rocky Mountains. He also supposedly said that the White Horse would have to save the Constitution.
