The My Crip Model of Health
I think I just want to acknowledge that the definition that I'm talking about that I've been using within the book is called the My Crip Model of Health. And it's a huge part of how we need to understand the built environment impact on health within cities and other environments. We aren't all working with the same set of factors that influence health. So it tends to be within cities that lower income neighborhoods and also neighborhoods with a greater number of racial and ethnic minority groups are those which are facing a higher burden of pollution, noise, air pollution,. but also being in close proximity to hazardous facilities or industrial uses.
