I know that my ability to process or. recall memories, to recall information that I really need dramatically decreases when I'm tired, lack of sleep. So if you're tired and your brain's trying to shut itself down, you're not going to be very effective at retrieving information. Unless it was something you learned when you were falling asleep, then it actually might be easier. It's kind of a counterfactual thing.
