The Role of the Assistant Executioner
Albert pierpoint worked as an assistant executioner in the 19 thirties. His role was to watch and help the official executioner. Sometimes he worked with his uncle thomas, who taught him some of the most important things to do when hanging someone. He would later go on to explain to any one who asked, that you needed to tie the knots in the right way.
