The Dangers of Drinking Alcohol
If I do more than two or three consecutive nights of drinking until drunk, I just feel too bad and I'll be repulsed by the idea of alcohol for weeks after. My best guess to explain this about myself is that I carry some gene from mom that slightly inhibits my ALDH enzyme so that I get a somewhat higher than normal buildup of acid aldehyde when I drink. And because of that, booze makes me feel bad while it's also making me feel good. Other people pretty much just feel good when they drink and that gets dangerous real fast. If we're all just at the mercy of the sloshing bag of chemicals in our skulls, then there is no crime
